Brooks is a small town in the southern reaches of Fayette County, Georgia, about thirty-five miles south of downtown Atlanta. The 2020 census counted 568 residents. As the southernmost incorporated community in Fayette County, Brooks has held on to a distinctly pastoral character even as the county around it developed into one of metro Atlanta's most sought-after suburban areas. The town's identity is tied to open land.
